Winemaker Chris Young

Roseworthy trained winemaker, Chris Young has been involved in the wine industry for over 20 years and has experience in many winegrowing countries throughout the world including France, Australia, USA and his native New Zealand.
Chris has travelled extensively, gaining valuable knowledge from people whose families have been involved in making wine for generations. His understanding of international wine styles is truly a great asset as it allows him to mix old and new world winemaking philosophies to achieve the very best quality in our wines.

Chris has a firm belief, that great wines are made in the vineyard and works hard with our Vineyard Managers and growers to ensure that the fruit quality is of the standard that will enable him to make ultra- premium wines for all to enjoy.  “Passion for making the very best wine through attention to detail and working closely with our growers will always result in the very best wines”.

Our wines of Marlborough origin, are made at Spring Creek Vintners in Marlborough and bottled locally, at Wineworks Marlborough.
Our Clutha Pinot Noir is also processed and made at Spring Creek Vintners by Chris. Our consultant viticulturist is the much respected Jeff Sinnott, who is in Cromwell Central Otago.

Our sparkling wines are also blended and bottled in Marlborough.
